New year, new books to be released!


There is a wide variety of new fantasy novels to be released this year from popular authors to new ones, there is plenty to choose from. Keep reading for some exciting new reads in 2023.







Hell Bent by Leigh Bardugo (Just out - Jan. 10)


This is a follow up sequel to Bardugo’s debut adult fantasy book, Ninth House, and she’s back for more. Galaxy ‘Alex’ Stern is looking for a way to rescue her mentor, Darlington, from hell - even if she has to pay with her future at Lethe and Yale.

The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi by Shannon Chakraborty (Feb.28)

This is a 16th century historical fantasy centred on a notorious female pirate who sets out on a quest for a final adventure with her old crew … One we think BookTok will fall in love with!















The God of Endings by Jacqueline Holland (Mar. 7)


Holland’s first novel finds itself weaving together narratives of love, family, history and myth with one woman at the centre of it all, Collette LeSange. Alternating between glimpses into her mysterious past and her present reality running a fine arts school for children, Collette find her life upended by some new presences in her life.

















One for My Enemy by Olivie Blake (Apr. 6)


TikTok sensation, and self-publishing success story Olivie Blake is starting a new series with this book, about two rival witch families, set in New York City. Baba Yaga's daughters fight to maintain control of their crime organisations as loyalties are tested and everyone learns what they're really made of.



















Untethered Sky by Fonda Lee (Apr. 11)


Lee is bring a new world to life with this standalone novella about a woman who learns how to ride a giant mythical bird called a ‘roc’ to hunt down the manticore that killed her mother and baby brother.
